In 1951, JCI created a global headquarters. Since 1969, this was in Coral Gables, Florida (USA). In 2002, it was transferred to Saint Louis, Missouri, where the first local organisation was founded in 1918. JCI is the leading global network of young active citizens.
Its vocation
JCI is a global organisation of men and women aged between 18 and 40. As a non-political and non-religious movement, it provides young people with development opportunities to create positive change. The foundations of its actions are the freedom of individuals, the respect of human personality, the defence of free enterprise and that government should be of rules and not of men.
